11 Best 2017 All-Wheel Drive Sedans

2. 2017 Mercedes Benz CLA Class 4MATIC

The CLA line offered by Mercedes-Benz is surprisingly value based, while still providing the same high performance luxury sedan you expect from a brand like Mercedes. The 4MATIC title gives CLA all-wheel drive capability. You will notice they refer to the CLA as a coupe even though it has four doors. The explanation for this is it’s sleek coupe-like design with sharp edges. The design affords the CLA enhanced handling, stability, and visibility in poor weather.

You can choose from:

  • CLA250 Coupe 4MATIC starting at $34,400 with 208 HP
  • CLA45 AMG Coupe starting at $49,950 with 375 HP

The AMG comes standard with 4MATIC all-wheel drive, a sport suspension, and high performance braking. Mercedes 4MATIC technology can transfer as much as 50% of the engine power on demand and send it to the rear wheels. The CLA250 can be compared to the Audi A3 AWD, although many agree it performs better in terms of steering and braking. The CLA250 is a quiet ride and can be supplanted with the CLA45 to further enhance steering and braking performance. The CLA comes standard with an 8” touchscreen, blind spot monitors, rear camera, and advanced tire monitoring system. It should be noted that by adding just a few options the price runs up quickly.
