9 Best 2017 All-Wheel Drive Coupes

3. 2017 Audi A5 Sport Coupe

Base Price: $41,200

The 2017 Audi A5 Coupe is an elegant and appealing mid-size luxury car. Similar in concept to the Infiniti Q60, it should be comparison shopped if you are looking for a coupe of this type. They are directly comparable in price and in size.

Equipped with a 2.0-liter, 220-hp direct-injected turbocharged four–cylinder engine, the Audi offers a 12-horsepower advantage over the Infiniti. Another advantage is the option of a 6-speed manual transmission to transmit the A5’s power to all four wheels through the standard quattro AWD system. Manual transmissions are getting harder and harder to find, so if you are of the self-shifting persuasion, keep this in mind.

The Audi A5 Coupe provides powered and heated leather-trimmed seats as standard, which the Infiniti does not. Also standard is a panoramic sunroof to let the sun shine in, as well as a 10-speaker, 180-watt sound system with a subwoofer. Xenon headlights and 18” alloy wheels let you see and be seen.

The 2017 Audi A5 Coupe is a great place to spend time in – provided you limit the passengers to one of your besties. Similar to other “four-seater” cars of this type, the rear seat is not a place for long trips. The Audi has that Germanic ability to devour the miles and get you through the most difficult terrain safely and securely. It just does not provide nearly as much joy in the process as its Bavarian competitors do.
